Autumn
2004
Autumn
has begun and the last 6 months have been a whirlwind of development
and interest.
After such a successful 4 days at the Perth trade fair "Design
Edge", I decided to attempt the "World Boutique"
Trade Fair Jan 12th - 16th 2004. It was such a boost to have 4
days of interest from other countries. China television, radio
interviews, media every where and Austrade and the Australian
embassy played an enormous part in making these four days extremely
successful for all eleven of us Aussies. It was a pleasure to
also meet some very friendly Kiwis who were promoting there wine
at the trade fair, and they were more than generous with wine
and cheese samples :)
I also have a new media section on my website; please take time
to have a look.
Prior to the World Boutique Trade Fair in Hong Kong, I was involved
with the Perth Festival events. Starting with the Deckchair production
of "Midsummer Nights Dream" designed by Zoe Atkinson
and followed with Barking Gecko's "His Majesty's New Clothes"
designed by Lou Westbury at His Majesty's Theatre, then Spare
Parts Theatre's "H20" designed by Cecile Williams
and then Barking Gecko's festival show "Hidden Dragon"
designed by Lou Westbury.
After Hong Kong, as I disembarked from the flight, there was a
pleasant job driving and wardrobe for "Metallica" with
the big day out.
This year of the cheeky monkey will keep me (the ox) on my toes.
I plan to be even more diverse this year, and to attend another
trade fair, possibly China next time.
Thanks to everyone for all of their support.
Cherie Hewson.
